Install HACS

To install the Home Assistant Community Store (HACS), complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Settings > Add-ons menu in Home Assistant and click the Add-on Store button in the bottom right corner.
  2. Open the overflow menu (three vertical dots) in the top right and click Repositories. In the popup that appears, click Add and enter the URL: https://github.com/hacs/addons
  3. The HACS add-on should now appear in the list of available add-ons. Click on it, and once opened, click the Install button.
  4. Restart Home Assistant.
  5. Navigate to the Settings > Devices & Services menu and click the Add Integration button.
  6. Search for “HACS” and it should appear as an available integration. Click to install it, follow the on-screen authentication prompts, and leave the configuration values at their default.
  7. That’s it! HACS should now be fully installed and visible in your Home Assistant sidebar.
