Yep, it's on the todo list. I'll probably get the patch upgrade out this weekend.
In the interm for the next few days just request the status of the starting time of the timer and it should work fine. So if you start a timer for 30 mins, just ask it for the status of the 30 min timer and shoul

Thanks for letting me know, and I've added it to my todo list. There will be a small patch upgrade coming out this weekend probably and I'll include it in that.
It's happening because the LLM messed up and isn't providing the proper response that Sophia asked for and expects. I'll modify it s

Ok, thanks for that. So it's correctly handling the custom sentence and coming up with the correct intent.
It's just the script isn't being fired. I did modify this part last upgrade so it would correctly pull the correct custom speech response within the script. That may have caused a bug.
Posted in General Support • Tue Sep 29th 01:51
Hmmm.. can you please delete the custom sentence and recreate it, but when doing so ensure it's lowercase with zero punctuation?
I find this odd, because I know custom sentences work. The first thing Sophia does is check the custom sentences before it does any intent recognition.

Thanks for your interest in Sophia.
Can you please goto your localhost web interface via either http://YOUR_HA_IP:10520/ or by clicking the UI button in the Settings -> Apps menu of Home Assistant.
The first page you will see is the custom sentences page. Do you see the "Good morning" sentenc

Yep, definitely. Just visit https://nlu.to/ha/
Enter your e-mail address into the bottom of the page there, and you'll get a 14 day free trial of Sophia, no charge. You only pay after you've installed and played around with it and decide you like it.
Hope that helps, and let me

Thanks Greg, appreciate the sentiment and glad you're enjoying Sophia. v2.2 should be out today or tomorrow.
Posted in General Support • Sat Sep 19th 12:40
Got it. Just finalizing v2.2 upgrade now, and will include the fix in that.
When you call a timer action without specifying which timer, it will check and if there's only one active timer it will default to that. If there's more than one active timer, it wil ask for clarification.
Thanks fo

Glad to hear that got it working. If you're running a Docker install and would prefer not to deal with HACS, you can always just grab the latest version of the integration at: https://github.com/cicero-ai/sophia-ha-integration
Then just copy and paste the ./custom_components/sophia_

Am I by chance correct in assuming the Entities menu of the localhost web interface shows the correct entities, but sending the voice messages in messes it up?
If yes, you need to upgrade the integration to v2.1.4 as well. It will solve the issue, but let me know if the problem persits.
Posted in General Support • Fri Sep 18th 17:58
What version are you running? Please ensure you're running the latest version of both, the app and integration.
This should be resolved in the latest versions of both. Please ensure you're running the latest versions and let me know if the problem persists.
Oh, and don't worry about that err
Posted in General Support • Thu Sep 17th 07:04
Nevermind, now as of v2.1.4 upgrade it will be perfectly in sync with your Home Assistant's should expose setting. This is confirmed by others. Sorry about that.
Posted in General Support • Thu Sep 17th 07:02
Sorry about previous message, it was actually a bug. Same thing as if you asked it to dim the lights the same thing would have happened. It would get the intent correct but no device would change.
This is now resolved as of the v2.1.4 upgrade and changing color now works fine. Sorry about that
Posted in General Support • Thu Sep 17th 07:00
For anyone reading, confirmed this is now resolved as of v2.1.4 upgrade.

Try the latest upgrade, LLM fallback is working according to the reports I'm getting. Please let me know if not though.
Posted in General Support • Wed Sep 16th 05:04
Sorry for such a crappy initial reply.
Please visit the Entities menu of the localhost web interface. Do you see all the switches? They should be there under the devices section. I would suggest just adding tags to them.
If it's not working correctly, please e-mail me directly at

Pleased to announce the release of Sophia v2.1.3, which can now be installed via the Settings -> Apps menu of your Home Assistant device. This upgrade contains many changes:
* Fixed the `should_expose` check. Only exposed entities will now be loaded.
* Fixed a bug when searching entities whil

Thanks for your interest in Sophia and sorry for such a late response to this.
Sophia has been modified to be much more strict about firing automations and will be included in the upcoming upgrade that should hopefully be out later today.
The other advice I can give is tag your entities via th

Thanks for your interest in Sophia.
I've tested this extensively now, and the LLM fallback is working fine. What's happening is there's an error somewhere such as incorrect model slug / API key or maybe it can't connect to the internet, or something. There's a configuration or permission issu

Hi again,
This should now be resolved. Both, the .zip file you can download from the account portal has now been updated, and so has the install docs: https://nlu.to/ha/docs/manual_install
Let me know if that helps or if you continue to experience any issues.
Warm regards,
Matt

Thanks for your interest in Sophia.
Please visit the Settings -> Apps menu of Home Assistant, open Sophia NLU and click on the button to view the log. Do you see any errors in there, or do you see a line saying Sophia is running and listening for connections?

Hi griley,
Thank you for your interest in Sophia. You're completely right, that page of the docs needs to be updated.
You don't need to copy anything into anywhere. If you're doing docker based install, you don't even need to install the app.
I'll put up a quick Dockerfile shortly, but

Thank you for your interest in Sophia.
Sophia itself will never be able to pull tomorrow's weather forecast. Simply because in order to do that, Sophia would need to detect your location, and I simply won't build that functionality in. The mission behind this is to promote personal privacy

Thanks for your interest in Sophia. I'm sorry, but your message isn't enough for me to give a working answer to.
If you're still experiencing problems, can you please e-mail me directly at ? I want two things -- copy and paste the necessary logs from the Log menu of the localhost web

Hi there,
Thanks for your interest in Sophia. Those look like pretty straight forward sentences Sophia should be interpreting without issue.
Can you please take a look at your device config? Please ensure the device you're targetting is something descriptive such as "light.living_room_cei

Thanks for your interest in Sophia. Please install the latest v2.1.1 upgrade via the Settings - Apps menu of Home Assistant. It will now strictly be in-sync with the "hould expose" setting in HA and should hopefully resolve your issue.
Please give that a try, and let me know if it works or if y

Thanks for the post, and yep, multiple languages is definitely on the list as I know it's heavily requested. Honestly though, it's going to be a while, and actually going to be until Sophia v3 is out which is already well underway.
Sophia is not transformers based, so it's not as easy as throw

See, this Reddit thread titled LLM as HA assistant - dumber than sand is what I find frustrating. There's clearly a pain point here, but everyone seems absolutely adamant on using LLMs.

Thanks to both of you for responding, much appreciated. I think it just boils down to the fact I missed the mark when I thought this was a pain point within the HA eco-system.
As for the accuracy issues, I', genuinely unsure what to do there. I can't fix problems I can't see and I'm unable to

Got frustrated one night at both, KeepassX and my lackluster opsec, so put together Nyx. Command line utility for secure passwords, authenticator app OTP codes, SSH keys via fuse point, and random notes / text files you need to save securely.
